Our History
Digitise the Past was born from a very personal project. After inheriting several hundred family photos, many from the 1960s I realised how time had taken its toll.
Colours had faded, details were disappearing, and some images were already showing signs of irreversible degradation. I wanted to preserve them before they were lost, to make them easy to share with family, and to bring them back into everyday life rather than leaving them hidden in boxes.
That journey inspired this service.
Today, I carefully clean, scan, and restore slides and negatives so they can be enjoyed again, whether on screen, in print, or in beautifully curated albums. Not everyone wants to sit in front of a computer to revisit their memories, so I also offer help selecting and printing your favourite images, turning them into something you can hold, display, or pass on.
